Today is April 16th and there is snow on the ground. Schools are closed. Houses are flooded. Power is out all over. This is nuts.
Nothing makes me wake up on a Monday morning with a smile more than the sound of Baa Baa Black Sheep sung with gusto over the baby monitor. The boy seems to enjoy practicing for the theatre in the dark of his bedroom. Thanks to his dad, he has also learned that playing the piano while singing is double the musical fun. Whoever coined the term "terrible twos" never had a kid like Nathan. He is far more hilarious than terrible.
Nathan's favorite TV show is definately America's Funniest Videos. Mike got him into that, and now they sit on the couch together and before every clip that comes up, Nathan says "Ok, watch! watch!" and then he cracks up, especially if we crack up. If you can put up with the "watch, watch, watch!" throughout the show, it's funny. Last night there was one bizarre clip where some boys had tied large sausage links to long strings that were hanging from their waists and they were swinging the sausages trying to move a potato along the ground in a race. Mike and I weren't laughing until Nathan pointed and proclaimed, "Peepees!!" To which Mike replied, "well kid, you got the right idea!"
