I can't believe how friggin' cold it is today. It snowed all morning! Well the Natester seems to be doing better, but now I have a sore throat. Funny because Mark, the hottie yoga instructor, asked me how it is I don't get sick from my kid all the time. I told him working out a lot wards off germs and builds up immunities. Ha!
Speaking of hottie Mark, Jen was sick Tues so he taught class. I placed my mat right up front, thinking he would put his next to mine, but when I found out he was teaching I realized he'd be sitting on the window ledge two feet in front of me. Too late. He did, and he teased me about it while I was trying to hold my Utkanasana (fierce warrior) pose. He purposely tried to make me giggle and lose it. I was also very embarressed because this week, of all weeks, I opted to wear a short t-shirt instead of my usual long fitted tank top. Well the short t-shirt flies up when you hang upside down in downward dog, revealing my sports bra and my ugly post-baby belly. The only time he assisted me was in upward facing bow pose (backbend), when he stood behind me, told me to put my hands between his feet, and gently lifted my hips up into the pose. Then he stepped back and said I looked great, and I held it there for a bit and then flopped very ungracefully to the floor.
When I got home I tried it with my hubby's help and asked him if he was looking right at my tummy. He said yep. I asked him if it was ugly. He hesitated. Enough said. He said it didn't look soft and flabby in that position. Uh huh. Sure.
Since Nathan stayed home from the gym with Mike last night I had time to stay after class with Mark and work on some poses I have trouble with. We had a nice long private conversation. He made a comment that I was very flexible. I didn't flirt, I SWEAR.
